The Oakhurst Dairy labor lawsuit
The US First Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the company drivers in a lawsuit for unpaid overtime wages because of the absence of a comma in the state law that defines work duties ineligible for overtime. It’s a good lesson in the use of commas and why effective communication must be expressed clearly.
